In this month's news we've asked DJ Madskillz what makes his planet spin after he scored a #1 Beatport hit last month (Air Miles rmx, together with 2000 and One). He's also mixed '70 minutes of Madskillz Madness', our Feburary Planet Gong podcast.

Although we cannot predict what the year of the Tiger will bring, we can guarantee that Lauhaus will be in Japan next month and 2000 and One will be in Asia in August. Also look out for Oxia in May when he performs across Asia and Australia on his second tour - but first he's heading off to Argentina (next weekend) to perform at the Crobar (Buenos Aires) & Infierno (Cordoba).

Amsterdam native and Planet Gong artist DJ Madskillz has been in the music scene for the last two decades, producing different genres of electronic dance music across the years. However 2009 saw him rise up in the tech house scene, scoring a recent club hit with Surface, then another dance slammer with the Air Miles rmx.

With his CV boasting more than 90 productions and his house and tech house sound always brings a unique, energetic twist to his popular DJ sets, we caught up with him this month to find out what makes his planet spin…
